The past lies in ruins, and the future fell into rubble, yet no necessity for the hero arises. The necessity for a heroic sacrifice has not appeared yet; the genius stands solid. There is, of course, the possibility that it is just our hero, who failed to notice the storm carrying the humanity through destruction to totality, the freeing immortality. And it is up to him to direct the flow and absorb the first fatal impact of the force that will be the universal rule of his people. His Gesamtkunstwerk.
A true hero, of course, cannot be hindered by the lack of necessity. He constructs the necessity like he dictates the flow of his people and his own self-fluidization, his own death. By the history of his own people, the hero might be branded as a genius, and by the next hero, a dictator. But if one very much seeks to enter the greatness of totality, yet lacks the talent of orchestration, how can one reach the liberating deadly impact? Is there a shortcut to this revolutionary performance? Can one simply plunge into death and hope that this one gesture will rearrange the fragments? If one is not great enough to be a suicidal dictator, perhaps one can be a dictating suicidal, or to be even more achievable, without the outer terror, a self-dictating suicidal.
Perhaps finally, truly in the style of modern freedom, the unrealized hero can straighten the crooked mirror, which till now reflected his own kind but never included himself.
